Makati City, Philippines, October 22, 2008 The Information Technology Association of the Philippines (ITAP) inducted Trends & Technologies, Inc. as its newest member during their 4th General Membership Meeting held last Thursday at the Dusit Thani Manila hotel in Makati City. Established in 1984, ITAP is a private, independent and non-profit association whose members are composed of leading product and service providers of Information and Communications Technology. The group is aimed at promoting ICT development and its usage as it contributes to the economic growth and global competitiveness of the Philippines. The organization is also affiliated with the Information Technology Foundation of the Philippines (ITFP), the Philippine Electronics and Telecommunications Federation, Inc. (PETEF) and the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).Representing Trends & Technologies during the momentous occasion was their Marketing Specialist, Ms. Joana Hitosis who was warmly welcomed by ITAP President Mr. Peter Tan. Also present during the event was Secretary Ray Anthony Roxas-Chua III of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology who gave an informative talk about the government programs on Human Capital Development with respect to the ICT Industry.
